Momentum
Background
While developing Slower Objects I found a contrasting experience hiding inside the same dynamics. The same motion that calmed and induced flow, when performed more deliberately, carefully, or quickly, began to feel alive with competitive energy. Visions of friends creating memories while taking turns to beat the high score danced in my head.
The Concept
Momentum is a game born from that discovery. But there is much left to be answered. What would a gaming experience where there are no other inputs beyond a ball and a surface? Can it be fun without compromising a belief that we are already too overstimulated and addicted to our screens?
It’s early days and I’m admittedly still searching for the right balance between digital and analog, but the core feels right. More soon.
Status
Currently in prototyping phase. Working toward a small initial production run via crowdfunding campaign in late 2026.
