Slower Objects

Overview

Slower Objects are desk objects designed to facilitate intentional thinking. Inspired by Zen garden traditions and a personal need for tactile focus, each set creates a ritual space for reflection and problem-solving away from screens.

The Concept

Three surfaces. Three balls. Nine combinations. When not in your hands, each surface is designed to rest on a desk, table, or shelf. Roll slowly. Listen. The combination you choose changes the experience — visual, tactile, auditory.

Materials & Construction

One surface is machined butcher block walnut. One is machined marble. One is machined aluminum. Each ball responds differently to each surface. Brushed steel on marble is cool and deliberate. Dimpled matte plastic with a steel core on walnut is warm and textured. Matte glass on aluminum is bright and precise.

You can purchase a single set or a set of three. The more sets, the more unique sensory combinations.

Status

Production tooling complete. First batch of 500 units is in production for a Summer 2026 release.
